My electronic music uses synthesized sounds and micro-clips sampled from copy-left artists [a note on musical sources] and licensed sound libraries. I'm interested in rhythmic intricacy, mesmeric loops and micro-tonal and non-Western tuning systems. I often use random processes in my music, with the help of Random.org. Recently, I've been choosing track titles with inspiration from Random Word Haiku. I've begun to use the Internet Archive to host my audio files. Email praise only to Mick Sussman.

    This set uses heavily layered cross rhythms: for example, one sliver of sound repeats every 20 measures, another every 19 measures, another every 18 measures, etc. Again using non-standard tuning systems and a combination of samples and synthesized sounds.

    The elastic phrase studies: multiple phrases evolve, altering their lengths slightly at each repetition, creating a tempo-less, meter-less shifting sensation. I also began a method of sampling small slivers of sound and then pitch-shifting them to create micro-tonal, non-Western and experimental tunings.
